MODE OF ACTION: ADONIA belongs to the Imidazolinone group of herbicides and has both contact and residual action. It is absorbed by both roots and foliage, inhibiting the enzyme Acetolactate Synthase (ALS), which is important for protein synthesis within the plant. This leads to the disruption of DNA synthesis in susceptible plants, resulting in a lack of protein synthesis, checked cell growth, and ultimately plant death.

MODE OF ACTION: BH-71 is a non-selective, systemic herbicide of the Organophosphorus group. It works by inhibiting an essential plant enzyme called EPSPS (5-enolpyruvyl-shikimate-3-phosphate synthase). Inhibition of this enzyme prevents the production of aromatic amino acids required for protein synthesis within the plant. The lack of protein synthesis results in the death of treated plants.

MODE OF ACTION: The active ingredient clodinafop-propargyl and the safener cloquintocet-mexyl are absorbed through the leaves and shoots of actively growing plants. They are rapidly translocated within the plants and accumulate in the meristematic tissues. This results in the inhibition of the enzyme acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACC-ase). Within 48 hours after application, susceptible grass species cease to grow, and plant death occurs within 2-3 weeks.

MODE OF ACTION: TANKEN, the active ingredient in Laudis, inhibits the activity of the 4-hydroxy-phenylpyruvate-dioxygenase (4 HPPD) enzyme. The formation of carotenoids (plant pigments) is disrupted by the blockage of this enzyme. Depletion of carotenoids deprives chlorophyll, where photosynthesis occurs, of its protection against excessive light, resulting in chlorophyll bleaching.

Maintain 2-3 cm of water in the crop and spray uniformly immediately after transplanting to within 4 days of transplanting, or treat 20-25 kg of dry sand with 500 ml of ALEXA PLUS and apply it in the crop immediately after transplanting to within 4 days. ALEXA PLUS is a selective pre-emergence broad-spectrum herbicide with excellent action against annual grasses, sedges, and broad-leaved weeds.
